Brad Boyes

Bradley Keith Boyes ( born April 17, 1982 in Mississauga, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since July 2012, he plays for the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League on the position of the center.

Career

Before Boyes to play completely to the Hockey concentrated, he also played extremely successful inline hockey. After he was selected in the OHL Draft by the Erie Otters, he ended his inline hockey career. The Canadians played a total of four years with the Otters. During this time, Boyes has been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round to 24th position. During his time in Erie, he received numerous awards.

With the start of the 2002/ 03 Boyes signed his first professional contract with the Maple Leafs, but first put him in the AHL farm team in St. John's. In March 2003, he was, along with Alyn McCauley and a first-round draft pick, transferred in exchange for Owen Nolan to the San Jose Sharks. This initially put him also in the AHL with the Cleveland Barons. Also, almost the entire 2003/04 season spent Boyes in the AHL before he played his first NHL game against the Dallas Stars on March 7, 2004. Two days later the Canadians was delivered by Andy Delmore to the Boston Bruins, who sent in return Jeff Jillson to San Jose. So Boyes played for the rest of the season and also the following, due to the NHL lockout, back in the AHL with the Providence Bruins. In the season 2005/ 06 he then managed a breakthrough in the NHL. He played all 82 season games for the Boston Bruins, posting a total of 69 points, which is a call to the NHL All- Rookie team had the consequence. The 2006/07 season played Boyes first in Boston and was delivered on 27 February 2007 in exchange for Dennis Wideman to the St. Louis Blues. There he found by the numerous changes a sporty and got home after one year of a four- year contract for 16 million U.S. dollars.

On 28 August 2011, shortly before the Trade Deadline, gave him the blues in a transfer business in exchange for a second-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2011 to the Buffalo Sabres from. On 1 July 2012, he was hired by the New York Islanders as a free agent.

Internationally

Boyes ran for a total of three tournaments for the Canadian national hockey team, twice at junior level. There he won the bronze medal in 2001 and 2002, the silver medal. In the senior level, he participated in the 2006 World Cup.
