Brann Dailor

Brann Dailor ( born March 19, 1975 in Rochester ) is an American drummer. He is a founding member of the band Mastodon and played previously with Lethargy and Today Is the Day.

Career

Dailor played since its founding in 1992, the band Lethargy. With Lethargy he took in 1996 to their only studio album, It's Hard to Write with a Little Hand. Together with guitarist Bill Kelliher moved to Dailor Today Is the Day and played the album In the Eyes of God, published in 1999 a. A short time later moved Dailor together with Kelliher from Rochester to Atlanta and founded with guitarist Brent Hinds and bassist Troy Sanders, the band Mastodon.

The title song of Mastodon Crack the Skye album is a tribute to his sister Skye, who committed suicide at the age of 14 years. Even the album cover of remission, showing a burning horse, alluding to this incident. The remission cover was inspired by a dream Dailors who acted by his sister and ended with the nuclear destruction of the earth. In 2012 Dailor was nominated at Revolver Golden Gods Awards in the category Best drummer.
