Brendan Brooks

Brendan Brooks ( * November 26, 1978 in St. Catharines, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with EC Dornbirn in the Erste Bank Hockey League since 2012.

Career

Brendan Brooks began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League, where he was active for the Owen Sound Platers and North Bay Centennials in the 1997/98 season. Opposite end of the season he also completed a game for the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL. From 1998 to 2000 the winger for the Quad City Mallards of the United Hockey League was in on the ice. This was followed by two years with numerous club changes. Between 2000 and 2002 he played for the Lowell Lock Monsters and Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League, the Cincinnati Cyclones of the International Hockey League, again the Quad City Mallards of the United Hockey League and the Dayton Bombers, Reading Royals and Macon Whoopee in the ECHL. He then spent one and a half years with the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL and the Worcester IceCats in the AHL.

In the season 2005/ 06 Brooks played for the new Peoria Rivermen in the AHL. The following season he joined the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL and finished it at league rival Manitoba Moose. He then ran each two years on the Stavanger Oilers of the Norwegian GET - ligaen and the SCL Tigers of the Swiss National League A. For the 2011/12 season the Canadians was engaged by the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. His new team in the 2012/13 season were the Iserlohn Roosters, which he left after the season again and the EC Dornbirn of the Erste Bank Hockey League joined.
