The Brienz Rothorn is from Brienz (Bernese Oberland ) made accessible through the Brienz -Rothorn Railway, by Sören Berg leads a cable car almost to the summit. In winter, this is the starting point for a ski resort near Eisee. This is achieved through a long gallery, which allows for a safe winter access. About 100 feet below the cable car, lies the mountain inn Rothorn Kulm. In addition to two -and eight- bed rooms, it also offers a dormitory for the night. Hikers reach the Brienz Rothorn from the south ( Brienz ) or east ( from Brünigbahn or lounging Schoenbueel Coming ). The climbs on the north side, by Sören Berg ago are steep and visited less frequently. The long, from Interlaken to Brienz Rothorn ago executive, Brienzergrat is committed rare.

Thanks to its remote location north of Lake Brienz, one has from its summit allows excellent views of the Bernese Alps (eg Rose, Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Blüemlisalp ). Due to the proximity of the no-hunting area Augstmatthorn found on the Brienz Rothorn a colony of 170 ibex (as of 2011 ).
