Bronnitsy

Bronnitsy (Russian Бронницы ) is a city with 21,102 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ) in the Moscow Oblast in Russia. It is located on the left bank of the Moskva River, 52 km south-east of Moscow. The nearest town is Ramenskoje, 20 km north of Bronnitsy.

History

First mentioned in a written document from 1453 as Bronnitschi, which achieved a certain importance, as there is a large stables built under the reign of Tsar Alexis I of a road from Moscow to southern Russia Astrakhan village located towards the middle of the 17th century.
