The Brunei ( Mal.: Sungai Brunei ) is a broad, but short river in Brunei Muara District Brunei. It is formed by the confluence of the two rivers Sungai Kayal and Sungai Limau Manis and has a length of 41 kilometers. It flows about 10 km northeast of the capital Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei Bay. A tourist attraction is the river is the Kampong Ayer, the so-called water village in Bandar Seri Begawan. It is to pile dwellings on both sides of the river to the mouth.
Culture
Traditional boat races are held on the river once a year.
