Brünn, Thuringia

Brno / door. is a municipality in the district of Hildburghausen in Thuringia. Fulfilling community for Brno / door. is the community Auengrund.

Location

Brno is located at the foot of the Nordostabdachung Hildburghäuser forest and on the south expiring grounds of the Thuringian forest in hilly farmland. By the brook Brünna Brno, the Brno also drives the mill flows. At Brno over the A73 crosses the viaduct Brno. The main road goes through the village in 1136.

History

In the period 1330-1340 the documentary first mention was held for the former place. During the Second World War, 95 men and women mainly from the Soviet Union in the metal weaver had to do forced labor. The farmers also went the way of the East German agriculture.
