Burbank is a municipality in the Santa Clara County of the U.S. state of California. The town has 4,926 inhabitants ( 2010). The city covers an area of ​​just over one square kilometer.

Etymology

Burbank was named after the American botanist Luther Burbank, who died in the neighboring town of San José 1926. His earnings were numerous new varieties of fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants.

Geography

Burbank is located approximately 13 kilometers south from the shores of San Francisco Bay. For the Pacific coast of the United States, there are about 44 km to the west.

The nearest large towns are Santa Clara and San Jose in the northwest to the northeast.

Demography
