Caddy

A caddy (American caddy) is a person who wears the racket bag during a golf game and the player is used primarily as a consultant at the club selection and reading greens. Caddies are an important part in professional tournaments; at grassroots level, they are hardly to be found (at least in Germany ) (comparable to the ball boys at tennis ).

The word electric caddy is used occasionally and incorrectly applied to the electric cars that can be found on some golf courses. Correct, however, is the name for this cart or buggy.

Even Germany's most famous golfer Bernhard Langer has worked before his pro career as a caddy. As a caddy must carry the heavy golf bag about 7 km, women are rarely as caddy. The more well-known is Fanny Sunesson, Nick Faldo's caddy for many years.
