Korianderblättrige jewelry flower ( Callianthemum coriandrifolium )

The jewelry flowers ( Callianthemum ) is the only plant genus of the tribe Callianthemeae in the subfamily Ranunculoideae within the family Ranunculaceae ( Ranunculaceae ). To this genus include 12 to 24 species that are native to the temperate regions of Eurasia.

Description

The Callianthemum species grow as a perennial, herbaceous plants. They form rhizomes as outlasting. The stem is unbranched or branched. The plant parts are smooth. The leaves are at the base of the stem to spread.

The terminal inflorescences each containing only one bloom. The hermaphrodite flowers are radial symmetry with double perianth. There are five sepals present. The 5 to 13 petals are nailed and have strips of glands. There are numerous stamens present. The numerous free carpels each containing only one ovule. Are formed ovate to ovate nutlets wrong.

The first publication of the genus Callianthemum took place in 1830 by Carl Anton von Meyer in Flora Altaica, Volume 2, page 336
