Çamlıhemşin

Çamlıhemşin ( Laz: ვიჯა / or ვიჯე Vica / Vice, Georgian ვიჯა / Vija ) is a Turkish city and an administrative district in the province of Rize. The city is located about 40 km east of the provincial capital of Rize.

The area of Çamlıhemşin originally bore the name Vicealtı. As the Ilce Ardeşen was founded in 1953, this area was the newly formed Ilce connected as Bucak named Çamlica. This Bucak was established under its current name in 1957 Çamlıhemşin itself as Ilce. At this time there was today's central village of a single building.

The district borders the provinces of Artvin Çamlıhemşin and Erzurum.

A more well-known tourist location in the district is the Yayla settlement Ayder with its hot spring.
