Canton of La Jarrie

The District of La Jarrie is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of La Rochelle, in Charente -Maritime in the Poitou -Charentes; its chief town is La Jarrie.

Geography

The District of La Jarrie is 14,393 acres ( 143.93 km ²) in size and has 18.563 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponds to a population density of around 129 inhabitants per km ². He is on average at 24 meters above sea level, between 1 meter in Saint -Vivien and 51 meters in Croix- Chapeau.
