The Canyon Bicycles GmbH (in short: Canyon ) is a German bicycle manufacturer of racing bikes, mountain bikes and triathlon bikes with headquarters in Koblenz.
History
In 1985 the company was first established as " cycling Arnold GmbH " by Roman Arnold as a specialized trade for cycling. Only in 1996 published the first own wheels under the brand Canyon. It is not uncommon that cycling dealer have their own wheels in the program. In Arnold, however, the direct sales via the Internet was also selected.
In 2001 the company took the step from the dealer to the pure bicycle manufacturer and named in Canyon Bicycles GmbH to. With Lutz Scheffer (formerly mine and Votec ) Canyon could undertake a recognized framework designer. Over the years, the Koblenz dedicated more big names, such as. Cycling commitment

Canyon runs a youth program called Young Heroes. The bikes were initially marketed under the brand name " Coast " because of the brand name Canyon is already protected by another company in Switzerland.
