Carazo Department

Carazo is a local government district ( the department ) in southwestern Nicaragua. The capital is Jinotepe.

The department has an area of 1,050 km ² and a total population of approximately 180,000 inhabitants ( 2006 calculation ) what / corresponds to a population density of around 171 inhabitants km ².

The Department of Carazo in turn is divided into eight Municipalities:

Jinotepe, Carazo Departments of Nicaragua Diriamba San Marcos, Carazo Granada Department Jinotega Department Madriz Department Managua Department Masaya Department Matagalpa Department Nueva Segovia Department Rivas Department
