Carter Ashton

Carter Ashton ( born April 1, 1991, Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since February 2012 with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League. His father, Brent Ashton was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Carter Ashton began his career as a hockey player with the Saskatoon Contacts, for which he was active in the unterklassigen Canadian junior league SMHL in the season 2006/ 07 before it ran aground on the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the top junior Western Hockey League at the end of the season for the first time.
