Casaleone

Casa Leone is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5933 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Verona in the Veneto region. The community is located about 34 kilometers southeast of Verona and directly borders the province of Mantua.

History

Discovery of coins 1888-1901 from Roman coins ( denarii and aces ) from the period between 206 BC and 51 BC clarify that the area was already inhabited.

Traffic

The train station of Casa Leone on the former railway route Treviso- Ostiglia was closed in 1967. Passing through the municipality, the former Strada Statale 10 Padana Inferiore (now a regional road ). The plan is called the Autostrada Padana Inferiore, which is to get a connection in Casa Leone.
