Casei Gerola

Casei Gerola is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2513 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Pavia in Lombardy. The community is located about 27 kilometers southwest of Pavia in the Po at Pavese on Curone, which flows a few kilometers north into the Po, and borders the province of Alessandria.

History

The place is probably a Roman foundation. Liutprand donated the place to Peter Monastery in Ciel d' Oro in Pavia. 1164 Casei is designated as a place that is donated by Frederick I to the town of Pavia.

Traffic

Through the village leads the Autostrada A7 from Milan to Genoa.
