Landriano

Landriano is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 6010 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012 ) in the Province of Pavia in Lombardy. The community is located approximately 15.5 kilometers northeast of Pavia and about 18.5 km south-southeast of Milan. Landriano is immediately adjacent to the province of Milan.

History

The district Pairana existed since the 9th century ( documented mention 856). Landriano is first mentioned as a place in the 11th century. In the second half of the 19th century from both localities the community Landriano. 1529 found at Landriano named after the place battle between France and Spain in the War of the League of Cognac instead.
