Cave In

Cave In is a rock band from Methuen, Massachusetts, USA.

Career

The band was founded in 1995 by the Friends of Jay Frechette (vocals) and Stephen Brodsky (vocals, guitar), who lived in the immediate neighborhood, was founded. Gradually, then came Justin Matthes ( bass), Adam McGrath (guitar) and John -Robert Conners (drums ) joined the band. First rehearsals took place in the basement of Jay Frechette parents house.

In the spring of 1996 Cave " brought out in conjunction with their mates, Gambit Cave In / Gambit Split 7, the other split releases with bands Early Grace and Piebald followed. During one of their shows was Aaron Turner from the record label, Hydra Head, at the same time singer the band Isis, on Cave In attentive and offered them to publish on his label own promo CD. In the summer of 1997 was initially a Cave In titled 7 " and a short time later with Beyond Hypothermia a compilation of previous split singles and demo recordings out. Therefore decided to label and band in 2004, to continue to go their separate ways again. 2005, Cave In, Hydra Head Records on again, under the title Perfect Pitch Black is a compilation of demos out that arose in 2003 and 2004. As of November 2006, the band officially took a break, the individual members dedicated themselves to then various side and - in the case of Stephen Brodsky - solo projects. In spring 2009, Cave In announced their return with new material.
