Čechy (Přerov District)

Bohemia ( Czech German ) is a municipality with 330 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-east of Přerov and belongs to Okres Přerov. The land area is 454 ha

Geography

Bohemia is located in the Hanna on the right bank of the Moštěnka and has grown together with the eastern neighbor municipality Domaželice into one unit. Through the village the main road leads 150 of Přerov after Bystřice pod Hostýnem.

Neighboring towns are Podolí in the north, Hradcany to the northeast, and Nahošovice Turovice in the west, and Líšná Marianov in the south, Beňov the southwest, Prusy in the west and Želatovice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Bohemia found in 1358 in Olomouc Landtafel. The original gentry seat came in 1487 at the castle Prerau.
