Cecilia Nilsson (actress)

Birgitta Maria Cecilia Nilsson ( born July 15, 1957 in Enskede, Sweden) is a Swedish actress.

Biography

At the age of six years, Cecilia Nilsson stood on the stage of children's theater at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm in 1968 and received her first role at the Royal Dramatic Theatre ( Dramaten ) in Woyzeck. Between 1973 and 1975, then led by the children's program Fredax, later renamed Lördags.

After this first stage and television experience, she moved from 1978-1981 to drama school in Stockholm. After graduating, she received an engagement at the municipal theater of Helsingborg, was commissioned in 1983 but returned to Stockholm and stood there until 1987 on the stage of the Municipal Theatre. In the following years she appeared in several theater and film productions, including 2008 Blommor av stål on Vasateatern in Stockholm together with Pernilla August, Suzanne Reuter, Gunilla Nyroos, Melinda Kinnaman and Linda Ulvaeus.
