Census County Division

A Census County Division ( CCD Abbreviation ) is a from the United States Census Bureau carried out for statistical purposes subdivision of a county. They were of a cooperation from the Census Bureau and formed the administrations of U.S. states and local governments that do not exist in states, the Minor Civil Divisions have. They were first formed in Washington for the United States Census 1950. In the United States Census 1990, there were a total of 5,581 Census County Divisions in 21 states.

For the United States Census 1970, there were in North Dakota Census County Divisions, but these were later replaced for financial reasons by Minor Civil Divisions.

The Census County Divisions are usually named after the name of the county or other local names.
