Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia
The Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia ( Experimental Center of Cinematography ) in Rome is a state-funded Foundation, under whose umbrella the Cineteca Nazionale (National Film Archive ) and the Scuola Nazionale di Cinema ( National Film School ) are located.
It was founded in 1935 to fight in Rome with the aim of the film crisis in Italy and use the film as fascist propaganda.
In parallel, the Film Festival of Venice were introduced and the film city Cinecittà built on a spent backlot.
Cineteca Nazionale
In its present form the Cinematheque was founded in 1949. She is a member of FIFA. The previously archived by the Foundation went Movies 1943 by the German crew lost. However, it can now again draw on a stock of 80,000 titles. Italian producers are required to submit a copy of their works. It cultivates a broad range of events and supports foreign projects. Last but not least old stocks to be restored or preserved.
Scuola Nazionale di Cinema
The term National Film school is often used as a synonym for the whole foundation.
After the founding of the Russian Film Institute in St. Petersburg ( now St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television ) and Moscow (now Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography ) in the years 1918 and 1919, she is one of the oldest institutions. Their first leader was Luigi Chiarini. As an educated fascist he had no problems using his communist friends as a teacher of the first hour. This led to an artistic reference to the Russian film and later a significant influence on the Western European post-war film (Italian neorealism ).
The Scuola Nazionale di Cinema today covers all major occupations of the film industry. Outsourced are the departments
- 2001 - La Scuola in Piemonte for Animation in Torino
- 2004 - La Scuola in Lombardia for advertising and television in Milan
- 2008 - La Scuola in Sicilia for documentation in Palermo
The class frequency is well below ten participants, with the result of a rigorous entrance exam. The CSC after the name of Italian filmmaker is not available for a bandage, but for an elite degree.
