Čepřovice

Čepřovice until 1924 Čepřejice ( German Tscheprowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers east of Volyně and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Čepřovice is located on the left bank of the creek Dubský creek in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest. To the north rises the Hans Alice ( 636 m), in the northeast of Kobylí vrch ( 623 m) and the Brdo (603 m ) east of the Bila ( 584 m), the Čepřovické čihaldlo and Duškovec (656 m), in the southwest of the Horni hora ( 581 m ) and the northwest Hránová ( 578 m). To the south lies the pond Čepřovický fishpond. To the east stretches the forest area Mlaka. Leads through the village the main road II/142 between Volyně and Bavorov.

Neighboring towns are Střítež, Ovčín and Skály in the north, Kváskovice, Radějovice, Netonice and Záluží in the northeast, Měkynec in the east, Krajníčko and Jiřetice the southeast, Bohunice, Všechlapy and Kamenná in the south, Kakovice, Marčovice and Černětice the southwest, RACI and Litochovice in west and Neuslužice and Milejovice in the northwest.

History

Čepřovice was probably founded in the 12th century. The first mention was in 1315, when Queen Elizabeth granted künische to Wolin Lehnsgebiet associated village privileges. Later Čepřovice belonged to the royal castle lords Hluboka or Karlberg. In the 16th century William of Rosenberg bought the estate and imputed the village, the reeve of Milejovice. Wilhelm von Rosenberg sold the estate in 1593 to Ernst Vitanovský of Vlčkovice. The Vitanovský family of Vlčkovice held the property until 1683, when Ignaz Johann Dietrich Vitanovskýs widow Magdalena nee Countess of Hrzán harass the goods Čepřovice and Miloňovice to Franz Georg Ritter Daudlebsky of Daudleb and his wife Veronica of Lidmila Kalenitz sold. In 1685 Gundakar acquired Ditrichstein the allodial Milonowitz and Cžepřowitz with the courts Stržiteřz ( Střítež ) and Miliwitz of Franz Wenzel Ritter Daudlebsky of Daudleb. He concluded this after to his reign Wällischbirken. In 1689 he made the rule with the connected Allodialgütern by Emperor Leopold I, and form a Fideikommiss. The Fideikommiss fell in 1690 to his nephew Ferdinand Joseph von Dietrich stone and afterwards remained in the possession of the princes of Dietrich stone. Last feudal lord was in 1808 Franz Joseph von Dietrich stone Proskau - Leslie. In 1840 Tscheprowitz / Cžeprowice consisted of 41 houses with 152 inhabitants. In the village there were a grand castle with officials apartment, a Grange with sheep farm, a mill and a tavern. Vicarage was Předslawitz. Until the mid- 19th century, the village always the Fideikommissherrschaft Wällischbirken remained submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Čepřejice / Tscheprowitz formed in 1850 with the district Jiřetice a municipality in the district court district Strakonitz and Wolin. Jiřetice broke up in 1923 going on and formed its own community. Today's local name Čepřovice is used since 1924. On November 26, 1971, the incorporation of Jiřetice ( with Koječín ) was performed.

The town centers of Jiřetice and Koječín were declared village Conservation Areas because of the preserved buildings with gabled houses in the rural baroque style.

The municipality consists of the villages Čepřovice Čepřovice ( Tscheprowitz ) Jiřetice ( Jirschetitz ) and Koječín ( Kojetschin ) and the monolayer Ovčín.

Attractions

  • Former Renaissance Festivals Čepřovice with chapel, built about 1605 by the family of Vitanovský Vlčkovice. She lost in 1685 its function as a manor. At the beginning of the 18th century were the princes of Dietrichsteinplatz ablate parts of resistant and transform the facility into a farmyard. The remaining parts of the building was later remodeled for residential purposes.
