Černčice (Náchod District)

Černčice ( German Tscherntschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers southwest of Nove Mesto nad Metují and belongs to Okres Náchod.

Geography

Černčice is located in the Eagle foothills on the left side of the creek Mettau Černčický creek and the canal Mlýnský Nahon. Southwest of the hill rises Horka (324 m) and in the south of Králíčkův Kopec (330 m). Through the town, the railway line between Meziměstí and Týniště leads nad Orlicí. To the north lies the reservoir Rozkoš.

Neighboring towns are Doubravice in the north, and Nove Mesto nad Metují Krcin in the northeast, Spy in the east, in the southeast Vršovka, Bohuslavice in the south, and Homole Slavětín nad Metují in the southwest, and Osíček Dolsko in the west and Nahořany in the northwest.

History

Černčice was first documented in 1312. The festivities at the Mettau was the seat of the noble family Černčický. 1483 took over in January Černčický Kacov of the goods; He founded in 1501 the town of Nové Mesto nad Hradište Medhují and moved the seat of government there.

Until the abolition of patrimonial Černčice remained Nove Mesto nad Metují submissive. From 1850 the town belonged to the Černčice district Nove Mesto nad Metují. After the Second World War the village was reclassified to Okres Dobruška and heard since its dissolution in 1960 for Okres Náchod.
