César Sánchez

César Sánchez Domínguez ( born September 2, 1971 in Cáceres ) is a Spanish football player.

Career

In his youth club Real Valladolid César Sánchez managed after two years at the B team made ​​it into the first team. In his first game for the first team, he had to pick the ball out of the net six times at the home game against Barcelona ( 0:6 ). Then he played over 200 games for this club. In 2000, he moved to Real Madrid. He never came over the reservists being out, however, and was replaced by young emerging talent and later world-class goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Sánchez played in 2002, five of the nine games in the Champions League, but lost in the final against Bayer 04 Leverkusen after an injury against Casillas to be replaced. In the season 2006/ 07 he was able to qualify with Zaragoza for the UEFA Cup.
