Meanwhile, it is assumed that the pottery was produced in Rhegium, perhaps also in Caere. Finally the question is still not fully understood. Against the localization to southern Italy is the fact that on some vases were trademarks that were not otherwise used in this region of Greater Greece. The Chalcidic alphabet was used in addition to Chalcis in Euboea and other places in Etruria. For a production in Etruria is the fact that Etruscan pottery was not generally exported to southern Italy. The style of painting shows no Euboea trains can therefore probably not coming from there. Was influenced Chalcidic the vase painting of the Attic, Corinthian and especially Ionian vase painting. Found the vases mainly in Italian places like Caere, Vulci and Rhegium, but also in Empúries, İzmir, Marseille and Skyros. East of the Adriatic Sea, just a fragment in Smyrna has been found so far.
