Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Nakhon Ratchasima

Amphoe Phra Kiat Chaloem ( Thai: อำเภอ เฉลิมพระเกียรติ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima. The Nakhon Ratchasima province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Non Sung, the, Chakkarat, Chok Chai and Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima - all counties are located in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

History

On 5 December 1996 five Tambon were separated from Amphoe Chakkarat to establish the new district Phra Kiat Chaloem. He is one of five counties in Thailand with the same name. All were founded on the same day to celebrate the 50th Jubilee of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX. ).

Management

The district Phra Kiat Chaloem is divided ( tambon) in five municipalities.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district of Tha Chang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่าช้าง ) consists of parts of the tambon Tha Chang and Chang Thong.

There are also five administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
