Charles de Lint

Charles de Lint ( born December 22, 1951 in Bussum, The Netherlands; actually Charles Hoefsmit ) is a Canadian fantasy author and musician.

Biography

After his fantasy debut The Oak King 's Daughter ( 1979) Lint remained true to the genre and expanded this book to the first cycle Tales of Cerin Songweaver. Works such as green jacket ( Green Mantle, 1988) and The small country ( The Little Country ) follow. Together with Philip José Farmer draws Lint for part of the dungeon cycle responsible. He also wrote several horror novels. In 2000 he won the World Fantasy Award for Moonlight and Vines. He lives in Ottawa and is married to the artist MaryAnn Harris.
