The second precipitation Arreola scored when the gong sounded for broadcast, whereupon a Sekundant Witherspoon entered the ring. Because Witherspoon was due to the precipitation but the count and the round was therefore not officially ended, despite the gongs, the referee disqualified Witherspoon, as only the two boxers and the referee may stay in the ring during the fight.
