Chen Yuan

Chen Yuan (Chinese陈 元, Pinyin Chen Yuan; * January 1945 ) is a Chinese manager and banker.

Life

His father was a Chinese politician Chen Yun, who belonged to the leadership generations in the People's Republic of China. Chen studied at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing economics. He was secretary of the Communist Party in the city Xicheng District in Beijing. In the 1990s he worked for the People's Bank of China. Since 1998 he has headed the Chinese company China Development Bank.
