Chevrolet Cavalier#Toyota Cavalier

To relax the trade barriers between the United States and the Empire of Japan, the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota decided to import the Chevrolet Cavalier and under its own brand name as a Toyota Cavalier (Japanese:トヨタ·キャバリエ) to drive.

Main customers were firefighters and the police. Most of the vehicles had to be shipped due to low demand overseas. These were mostly East Asian markets, markets of the Middle East and New Zealand.

Although the price was ultimately reduced to the Cavalier model in November 1996 by 40 %, the model in Japan was a flop. Regardless of the imported Toyota Cavalier continue.

In March 2000, there were new headlights for the Cavaliers. But it was only in July 2000, the import has been set. The official successor to the Toyota Allion was.
