Chevrolet Superior

The Chevrolet Superior was an automobile of the lower middle class, in the U.S. the 490 was built in model years 1923 to 1926 by Chevrolet as his successor. In the first year was named the Superior Series B, Series F then followed (not to be confused with the F series of model year 1917 ), Series K and Series V.

In model year 1924, from the series B series F. After setting the Copper - Cooled the Superior was now the only model of Chevrolet. Technically and stylistically, there were no changes. Tourer, 4 -door sedan and 4- seater coupe was available besides the standard version also in a deluxe version. They had steel disc wheels instead of the usual wooden spoke wheels, front bumper, a nickel-plated radiator frame and door handles exterior also on the tourer. K series (1925 )

Only the radiator grille was changed in the K series of model year 1925. The nickel-plated frame was lowered slightly narrower and in the center, so that could accommodate the Chevrolet logo better. The cone clutch was replaced with a single-plate dry clutch. Also new was the outer sun visor above the windshield. The deluxe models were gone. Open models had still wood spoke wheels, while the closed models took over the steel disc wheels of the previous Deluxe.

Series V ( 1926)

Few changes were made in the last year of production, in which the Superior Series V said.
