Chicago Hounds
The Chicago Hounds were an American ice hockey team from Chicago, Illinois. The team played in the 2006/07 season in the United Hockey League.
History
The franchise of the Richmond Riverdogs of the United Hockey League was founded in 2006 from Richmond, Virginia to Chicago, Illinois, relocated and renamed Chicago Hounds. In their only season, the 2006/07 season, the team reached fourth place in the Eastern Division playoffs for the the Colonial Cup. In these, the team already retired on the first lap with 1:4 victories in the best- of-seven series against the Fort Wayne Komets of. After failed negotiations for a long -term lease with the management of the Sears Centre, the franchise was disbanded after only one year, 2007.
