Chilly Gonzales
Gonzales (actually Jason Charles Beck, born March 20, 1972), sometimes also known as Chilly Gonzales, is a Canadian musician, who temporarily lived in Berlin and Paris and has currently settled in Cologne.
Life and work
Gonzales studied jazz piano at Concordia University in Montreal, but then turned to pop music and collaborated with the Canadian musicians Feist, Peaches and Mocky. He also worked on the albums Multiply by Jamie Lidell and Secret House Against the World by Buck 65.
His notoriety gained by Gonzales electro tracks with satirically tinged Rapgesang for which he entitled " The Worst MC" ( " the worst MC" ) awarded themselves. A 2004 released album Solo Piano with serious, settled between classical and jazz piano pieces was taken by the music critics with great praise.
