China Kantner
China Wing Kantner ( born January 25, 1971 in San Francisco ) is an American actress.
The daughter of the Jefferson Airplane co-founder Paul Kantner and the Airplane singer Grace Slick, began at the age of 15 years to work as a video jockey on MTV. In 1994 she made her first appearance as an actress in when she played the role of Jill Wajakawakawitz in James Melkonians Comedy Stoned Age. After a few more appearances in films such as Grace of My Heart and television series such as Look, Home Improvement, she gave up acting to attend college.
Over the years she has made some contributions as a songwriter and singer for Jefferson Starship. Still, she says of herself that she had no real musical aspirations, as she thinks that she could not sing very well.
