Chinezul Timișoara

Chinezul Timişoara was a Romanian football club based in Timişoara. He was the sixth consecutive Romanian football champions.

History

Chinezul Timişoara was founded in 1910 by railway workers in Timişoara. The association is by Pál Kinizsi ( in Romanian Pavel Chinezul ), a Hungarian military leader, named. After the First World War Chinezul was six times in a row ( 1922-1927 ) Romanian football champion - a record that has been set by Steaua Bucharest in 1998. After the last championship Chinezul ran into financial difficulties and a crisis of leadership. Thereupon the President Dr. Cornel Lazar withdrew and founded the association Ripensia Timişoara. Chinezul could not build on the previous successes, but played from 1933 to 1939 still in Divizia A.

In August 1936 merged with Chinezul ILSA Timisoara. After the Second World War, the club CAM Timişoara joined.
