Chris Cohen

Christopher David Cohen ( born March 5, 1987 in Norwich ) is an English footballer who plays for Nottingham Forest in July 2007.

Sports career

Chris Cohen was admitted at the age of 6 years in the youth academy of West Ham United. Early age of 16 he ran on 13 December 2003 for the first for West Ham in the Football League Championship on. He became the youngest player in 80 years, which is accrued for the first team West Ham United. During the season, he still came to 6 additional inserts for his team, which finished 4th place at the end, but not promotion to the Premier League. In the season 2004/ 05 Cohen played a total of 14 appearances for United and was able to celebrate with his team at the end of season promotion to the Premier League.

Yeovil Town

Because of the reorganized excellence of his team, Cohen saw his chances diminished use and had to borrow to the Football League One club Yeovil Town. He arrived at his new team along well, completed 31 league matches and scored 1 goal. Since his situation had not changed in West Ham, Cohen signed at the beginning of the season 2006/ 07 a 2 -year contract in Yeovil. There he quickly became the leading player, scoring six goals in 44 league games.

Nottingham Forest

In July 2007, Cohen moved along with Arron Davies for £ 1.2 million to Nottingham Forest. Chris Cohen signed for 4 years and came quickly in Nottingham deal. Only the first 5 season games he missed due to injury of the preparation, then he denied all mandatory games of the season 2007/ 08 and had thus its share in the promotion to the Football League Championship.

Also in the Football League Championship 2008/ 09 came Cohen ( 41 games / 2 goals) shiny handle and was elected at the end of the season by fans of Nottingham player of the season. Due to its consistently good performance, his contract was extended until 2013. Through the league last year played Nottingham in 2009 /10, in the second highest league in third place and missed the rise only slightly. Chris Cohen played 44 league games and scored three goals. In the season 2010/11 Cohen reached (42 games / 2 goals) again the play-off semi-final, but failed as the year ahead. Having had prevailed in the previous year of Blackpool FC, 2011 Forest lost to eventual promoted Swansea City.

October 8, 2012 Chris Cohen signed a new contract valid until 2016 in Nottingham.
