Christa Mayer
Christa Mayer (* in Sulzbach -Rosenberg ) is a German contralto and mezzo-soprano.
Life
During her school years, Christa Mayer was sponsored by the Bavarian Academy of Music. Then she studied with Thomas Moser at the Musikhochschule in Munich and attended master classes with Hans Hotter, Francisco Araiza and Irwin Gage.
Since 2001 she has been a member of the Saxon State Opera Dresden ( Semperoper ). She has appeared at the German Opera Berlin, the Bavarian State Opera, the Rheingau Music Festival, Kissinger Summer and Schubertiade to Schwarzenberg. In 2008 she made her debut at the Bayreuth Festival as Erda and Walt diamond in the ring of the Nibelung.
