Christian Borgatello

Christian Borgatello ( born February 10, 1982 in Meran ) is an Italian ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Val Pusteria in the Serie A1 since the summer of 2013.

Career

Christian Borgatello began his career as a hockey player with the HC Merano, for he held until 2004, a total of six years in the Serie A1 was active from 1998 and with whom he Italian master was the same in his rookie year in 1999 for the first time. After the defense had spent the 2004/05 season at the Dundee Stars of the British National League, he returned to his native Italy, where he first won the championship in 2006 and then the Supercoppa with the HC Milano Vipers. After two years of right-handed shooter signed with their league rivals HC Bolzano, for whom he played from 2007 to 2011, and with whom he won the Supercoppa respectively, as well as the Fair Cup in 2007 and 2008 as well as 2008 and 2009 Italian Champion. In addition Borgatello won with Bolzano in 2009 for the first time in his career, the Coppa Italia.

For the 2011/12 season Borgatello moved to Alba Volán Székesfehérvár from the Austrian Hockey League, but returned in October 2011 for the HC Bolzano in the Serie A1 back. In the summer of 2013, the change to local rivals HC Val Pusteria followed.

Internationally

For Italy Borgatello participated in the U18 Junior B World Championships in 1999 and 2000, as well as the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2000, 2001 and 2002 in part. In addition, he was in the squad of Italy to the B World Championships in 2003, 2005 and 2009, as well as the A- World Championships 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010 and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.
