Christian Erbach

Christian Erbach (* 1568-1573 in Gau -Algesheim, Mainz, buried June 14, 1635 in Augsburg ) was a German organist and composer.

Christian Erbach worked from 1596 in Augsburg as an organist. First, he was in the service of the Fugger family, later he followed Hans Leo Hassler, Office of the City organist gradually took over from 1625, the organist at the Cathedral of Augsburg.

In addition to sacred vocal music, including Masses and motets, he created a large number of organ works, which he exercised with his Toccatas in particular a non- humble influence on Southern German organ school.
