Chyše

Chyše ( German Chiesch ) is a city in the Karlovy Vary region kraj (Czech Republic). It lies on the River Střela eight kilometers northeast of the city Žlutice.

History

1169 the village was first mentioned. The noble family Egerberg were masters of Chiesch.

1475 erbuntertänige the place was elevated to a town. In the early Middle Ages the trade route from Prague led to Cheb (Eger) through the town. End of the 15th century fortified Burian of Gutstein - Vrtbovská ( Burian z Gutštejna ) Chiesch. His son Burian II of the empires founded in 1487 the monastery with the Church of the Virgin Mary.

Under Nicholas Lobkowicz ( Mikuláš z Lobkovic ) was the Renaissance castle Chyše built on the site of the former Gothic castle in 1578.

1766 was the fundamental rule over by purchase at Lažanský Prokop, whose family held it until the end of World War 2. Since June 22, 2007 Chyše again has city rights.

Boroughs

The city Chyše consists of the districts Chyše ( Chiesch ) Chyšky ( Spitzberg ), Čichořice ( Sicheritz ) Cihani ( Tschihana ) Dvorec ( Arum), Jablonná ( Jablon ), Luby ( Lub ), Podštěly ( Badstübel ) Poříčí ( Poritsch ), Radotín ( Radotin ) and Žďárek ( Scheer ). Basic settlement units are Chyše, Čichořice, Dvorec, Jablonná, Luby, Nová Teplice ( Neutöplitz ) Podštěly, Poříčí Radotín and Žďárek. To Chyše also the settlement Jezera heard ( Jeserau ).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Chyše, Čichořice, Jablonná u Chyší, Podštěly, Radotín u Chyší and Žďárek u Chyší.
