Cienfuegos Province

Cienfuegos is a province in central Cuba. Its capital is the city of Cienfuegos.

History

The Cienfuegos province was created by the administrative reform of 1976, which the former province of Las Villas was dissolved in the course, which had additionally comprises still the territory of the provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti newly formed Spiritus.

Geography

The Cienfuegos province has a total area of ​​4188.61 km ². In the north and west it borders the neighboring provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti Spiritus. The Caribbean joins the south, the province of Matanzas in the east.

Economy
