Çiğli

Çiğli is a district in the Turkish province of Izmir and at the same time a municipality of Büyükşehir Belediyesi ( city municipality ) Izmir.

Çiğli situated about ten kilometers west of the city of Izmir on the north shore of the Gulf of Izmir ( Izmir Körfezi ). The county is bordered on the east by Karşıyaka, on the north by menemen. In the south and west is on the coast of the gulf, partially in a salt mining area, the bird of paradise İzmir Kuş Cenneti, where numerous species of birds, flamingos live mainly in shallow water. The area stretches along the coast further north in the county menemen. Also in the west of the district in the district Sasalı is the zoo Sasalı Doğal Yasam Parkı.
