Rockdale is located on the western edge of Botany Bay about 9 to 16 km southwest of the center of Sydney. The area includes 31 districts: Arncliffe, Arncliffe West, Banksia, Bardwell Park, Bardwell Valley, Bexley, Bexley South, Bexley West, Brighton, Brighton Le Sands, Brighton North, Dolls Point, Kogarah West, Kyeemagh, Monterey, Ramsgate Beach, Rockdale, sandringham, Sydney International Airport, Turrella, Wolli Creek and parts of Allawah, Beverly Hills, Bexley North, Carlton, Hurstville, Kingsgrove, Kogarah, Kogarah South, Ramsgate and Sans Souci. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in Rockdale neighborhood in the center of the LGA.

Management

The Rockdale City Council has 15 members, who are elected by the residents of the five wards ( three each from First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Ward). These five districts are set independently of the villages. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
