Clapton (2010 album)
Clapton is the 20th studio album by Eric Clapton. It was published in 2010. It is mostly a cover album, but also a new piece is included.
History
The album includes cover versions of favorite songs Clapton from childhood to today. Run Back To Your Side is, however, a new song. On this album many guest musicians participated, including JJ Cale, Sheryl Crow, Derek Trucks, Trombone Shorty, Wynton Marsalis, Doyle Bramhall II and the London Session Orchestra.
Clapton is very proud of the album and described it as a perfect example of his musical experience. In addition Clapton find it very important to continue to sell old music in the age of modern music.
The album reached number 3 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria # 4 # 5 on the charts.
