Claudiu Răducanu

Claudiu Nicu Răducanu ( born December 3, 1976 in Craiova, Dolj county ) is a former Romanian football player. He played a total of 165 games in the Romanian League 1 and the Spanish Primera División. In 2001 he won with Steaua Bucharest and the Romanian Cup in the 2002/03 season he was top scorer in the Divizia A. His game position is attack.

Playing career

Claudiu Răducanu began playing football in 1993 at the school sports club in his hometown. A year later he moved to Electro Craiova, the renamed in 1998 in Craiova FC extensive. His first game in Divizia A, he played at the age of 17 years on 24 September 1994 at defeat against FC Inter Sibiu. Before Extensive FC were relegated back to the Divizia B in the first division at the end of the 1999/2000 season after only one year, Răducanu Craiova left during the winter break in the direction of Steaua Bucharest. There he became the national team and joined the end of 2003 for € 1.5 million at the Spanish side Espanyol. In Spain, he was able to secure in the second half in the league of Espanyol in La Liga. This aroused the interest of Arminia Bielefeld, loaned the player of the season 2004/ 05 for € 200,000 one year. Here, however, he was able to celebrate any success and only came to five season inserts for Arminia. Therefore, the club, not to be taking previously negotiated purchase option decided, and so Răducanu returned to Spain. But he played no role in the planning of the then coach Miguel Ángel Lotina.

Therefore Răducanu returned in the summer of 2005 back to Romania. In the first round of 2005/ 06 he played for FC Vaslui in Divizia A, and then the neighboring FCM Huşi in Divizia C. There, however, he did not stay long, since the beginning of 2006 he moved to China to second division side Guangzhou Pharmaceutical FC. In January 2007 Răducanu moved back to Europe to the Cypriot first division club Nea Salamis Famagusta. Looking for a new club he took part in a trial in Sorrento Calcio 1945 from the Italian Serie C in October 2007. From the early to mid 2008 Răducanu plays in the Romanian first division club Universitatea Cluj, but could not prevent its descent into the League II. He then moved for a year to the Azerbaijani first division club FK Xəzər Lənkəran. In May 2009 it was announced that Răducanu will play in the 2009/10 season at the newly promoted to the Liga II Gaz Metan CFR Craiova.

To date, graduated Claudiu Răducanu two caps for the Romanian national football team, both in 2003.
