1999–2000 Divizia A
The Divizia A 1999/2000, the 62nd time in the history of Romanian football league was Divizia A. It began on July 24, 1999 and ended on 10 May 2000. From mid-December to early March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion Dinamo Bucharest. After the season, the Divizia A was reduced to 16 teams.

The Divizia A played with 18 teams. The four last-place teams were relegated in the Divizia B, while only two teams ascended. For a victory, there were three points for a draw and one point for a loss no points. If two or more teams finish the season were tied, decided not goal difference, but a direct comparison.
