The Divizia A 1961/62 was the 24th season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 20, 1961 and ended on July 2, 1962. From mid-December to mid-March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion Dinamo Bucharest.

The Divizia A played with 14 teams. The three last-place teams were relegated in the Divizia B. For a victory, there were two points for a draw and one point for a loss no points.
