1987–88 Divizia A
The Divizia A 1987/88 was the 50th season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 23, 1987 and ended on 22 June 1988. From mid-December to early March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion for the fourth time in a row Steaua Bucharest.

The Divizia A played with 18 teams. The three last-place teams were relegated in the Divizia B. For a victory, there were two points for a draw and one point for a loss no points.

The 1987/88 season was clearly dominated by Steaua Bucharest and Dinamo Bucharest. Both were respectively 4 of 34 games not win - including the two duels. Score as many points as Steaua and Dinamo this season were only once ( Steaua reached in the 1988/89 season. Apart from the games among themselves (0:0 and 3:3 ) gave Steaua only two draws (0-0 Arges Pitesti FC and the SC Bacau ) and Dinamo a draw (0-0 at FC Olt Scorniceşti ) and one loss (1:2 at Politehnica Timişoara) from.
